Bow-Wow ducks his head a little, shyly, in response to Robert's compliment, but seeing the chance to change the topic away from how he was definitely really sweet, he starts with-
"She always made extra sure to tell me when I was bein' a good boy!" It's nice, in a way… thinking about his mother after so long. "When she got too sick ta do that, I knew she still meant it, y'know?" He tips his head, almost thoughtfully. His mother… she had been so frail back then. A shadow of the woman he'd known before she got so ill. Although, for some of his mother's quirks… that was a good thing.
"I dunno if I really had the awareness ta kinda… realize what was goin' on back then, but…" He shrugged, "Maybe it was better that way. I'm kinda glad I didn't really realize why I was always trippin' over glass."
Bow-Wow says these horrific things about his childhood with the tone of someone who didn't quite think they'd had a tough upbringing- he's saying it as if it's completely normal that his mother left glass around an unattended child.

"Well- nah, I wasn't! But I kinda overheard when things started breakin' out, an' I came ta investigate… I saw… uhhh…" He scratches his head. "The you-but-not-you, Sheriff guy? I saw him punchin' Ei, an' I kinda… yelled at 'em ta stop a lil'?"
"I dunno if I really helped or anythin', but…It kinda scared me a bit, seein' all y'all fightin'!"
