Akemi is far from surprised to see Ellie in such a state. She had come to this room mainly in search of something to occupy herself, but she should have known there would be an influx of very angry inmates and no wardens to even pretend to keep the peace.
She gave no reaction to the angry look-- though she surprisingly kept her own expression far more neutral than she truly felt.
"It hardly feels like congratulations are in order, Ms. Carter. You and I both know these verdicts are utter trash. I'm grateful to have my mobility, but given that you, me, and Mr. Naito recieved differing verdicts tells me that the wardens are simply deciding arbitrarily, given how equally unapolgetic the three of us wwere. And, given what some people here likely did while still recieving forgiveness, I suppose it was all a lie to say it has anything to do with right and wrong."
Where she might have looked directly at Ellie in normal circumstances, she chooses to keep her eyes focused elsewhere in the room. It didn't seem like staring would be helpful.
"And then they have the gall to condemn us, take your personal belongings, and retreat to avoid the consequences of their bias. Cowards."
