She thinks on the question for a moment. It was a far more complicated question than Kaoru likely knew, at least to her.
 
"Professionally, an interest in art criticism as a job comes from an interest in art itself. Much like how most who would do literary reviews, restaurant reviews, or movie reviews consider themselves connoisseurs of their respective spheres. It involves having informed opinions on what makes art good or not, having both the knowledge base and writing skills to explain why, and having the observation skills necessary to pick out the intricacies of a piece to inform and support your opinion."
She begins to follow Kaoru on their search.
 
"On a more literal 'job' level, much of it involves visiting exhibits on my own time, writing about what I see, and selling my writing to art publications. It is far more freelance than something behind a desk, in many cases, unless you are formally attached to a specific publication."
