"…Yes, I think there would be at least a chance that things would have gone differently for some, at the very least." He can't begin to know what the warden's metrics for judging actually were on a personal level, though.
Vincent, likewise, actually gets back to book sorting, able to focus a bit better on both things at once now once again. What a weird mix of books they have here, honestly. He does blink at the willing to hear her side comment, though, before nodding. Well, it was true, he really hadn't even thought to doubt anything she was telling him, but in daily life… he knows how it can be sometimes.

"That's… a good point, actually. I haven't… had many people at all to talk about this sort of thing with before, or at least anyone it would be even remotely appropriate to with." The office workplace was Not the location to discuss murder in, after all.

"Ah… I see, I'll have to check on Bow-Wow sooner than later then, perhaps." Sure it had been awhile since each projection now, but… Well, he should probably check in on him anyhow in general anyways. "I… haven't been the one injured in any of them, so I can't speak for the sensation of it, but it hasn't been pleasant to witness, at least."
Honestly, if he was the one being hurt, he wouldn't really care quite as much, at least in most cases. (He is also very much forgetting the time he was thrown at a high speed against a wall, that also wasn't that big a deal to him, really).

And for the last bit… Vincent takes note of that look in her eyes, but gives a somber nod in return with her answer. So there was more to it, even if she did not want to speak of it currently. That much was enough for him to know.

"I see. That's terribly dire, then, if it was between the two of you. So, regardless of the specifics… I am sorry that things were forced to come to that, for you."

………Vincent looks down at one of the books he's been sorting a moment later, after, and the serious vibes sort of evaporate, though.

"Uh. I… DON'T think this is the sort of thing you were looking for exactly to do with botany, but I did find…. This one, if that interests you?? I think I remember seeing it as a child."
He holds up Edward Lear's Nonsense Botany, which… WAS art, at the very least.
