Emmy | Akemi Grabbing a cat figure from the collection, she sets it in the space next to the photo.
The Cat figure is put in place, and the fluctuating changes of the picture stop, setting on the “First cabin trip with my boyfriend“ version. Before you can move on to anything else in the room, however, you all once more hear the voices of two people sounding like it’s coming from somewhere in the room, though looking for them you only spot two shadows, one much taller and with broader shoulders than the other. The voices are distinct, though, and it’s not hard to tell which one is Vincent’s, the other belonging to a young woman who must be Gracie.
“Hey, Gracie, can I talk to you alone for a moment? I didn’t want to say anything during introductions with everyone, but… why did you tell them I was your boyfriend?” the first voice asks calmly, sounding a little confused more than anything.
The second voice laughs, confidently. “Haha, did that really surprise you, Vincent? I figured we were basically already dating with how we’ve been texting lately. It’s obvious we both have feelings for each other, so why not just make it official, right?”
Vincent’s voice seems surprised by this somehow, though sounding a little uncertain. “Do… we? I know we’ve talked a lot these last few months, but I guess I didn’t know if it was flirting. You had been teasing me a lot more than you used to.”
The second voice laughs again, finding this somehow more funny than awkward, keeping the mood light. “Of course we were! Do you really think normal friends talk like that with each other every day? I know you’ve been catching feelings for me ever since you saw me again, don’t you even try to deny it! I’m pretty sure everyone here could already tell, too,” Gracie’s voice teases.
Vincent pauses at this, seeming to think about it for a moment, before ultimately seeming convinced by this. “I guess you aren’t wrong… Sure, then, let’s try being official.”
With that, the voices and shadows fade. Maybe that meant you made the right choice?
