Robert heard Ellie's approach as he leaned back to try and see over the top of the strange black box in the corner of the warehouse, kicking it lightly a couple times as if it was a vending machine. When he turned to investigate the sound, however, he just barely missed seeing Ellie's approach, and thus caught a poke to the shoulder entirely off-guard.

"Ah! Geez! Sorry, uh-- hi?"
He twisted around to get a look at this trouble-making woman, and-- wow, she sure did look like trouble. All tattooed up and wearing her straitjacket like a loose bathrobe, glasses glinting over her eyepatch… He had no idea what to make of her just yet. No reason not to be polite, though.

"Well-- you've got a lovely voice, Miss Ellie!" A high compliment coming from someone with a voice like his! "But I'm afraid you'll find me much more of a city slicker than the accent implies. M'name's Robert."
