The kitchen had no knives and nothing immediately exciting to bored deviants, but this one had a plenty active imagination for what few tools they'd been given. In fact, the idea this kitchen had already been baby-proofed and he could still find something violent in it was doubly exciting.

So, after doing his due diligence and inspecting any obviously interesting things, this menace has posted himself in the kitchen, where he's tossing a frying pan up in the air to catch the handle, delighting at snatching it and swinging it through the air. For the frying pan's sake, it's lucky he isn't hitting anything with it—with the force he's swinging it with, it wouldn't keep its pretty little shape if he made contact with a counter, that's for certain.

Hikaru Suzuki

Hikaru's used to being one of the tallest people in the room, but it's not something he gets to enjoy here - even less so when it comes to this guy practicing some kind of juggling act in the kitchen. It's kind of an intimidating sight really, but when he enters, Hikaru decides so long as he stays at a safe distance from frying pan range he'll be alright.

"I'm guessing you aren't practising some kind of new pancake-flipping technique, cool as that would be. The games in the warehouse not enough to keep your interest?"

To be fair, from what little he'd seen, they wouldn't be enough for him either. Too much nerd stuff.

Kaoru Naito

“‘s a sort of pancake flippin’ technique, you wanna be my first flapjack?”

He tosses the frying pan up and catches it by the handle again then swings it in front of him, emphasizing it with an excited exclamation of “ka-kow!” as he swings.

“Gehahah! You think I’m gonna get kidnapped then sit ‘round chewin’ on checker pieces? Nah, shit’s boring as hell, we should be tearin’ the walls down ‘n shit, yeah? Have our fun before someone comes around to cut off our toes for ransom ‘n whatever the fuck.”

Hikaru Suzuki

Hikaru winces ever-so-slightly at the big movements, but does his best to stay cool. He doesn't think that was a threat, but he also doesn't know if he trusts this guy to not accidentally let the pan slip and fly.

"I think I look best not flattened out, but if you want to flip me over, you're welcome to try."

That was maybe a bit too strong, but given how carefree this guy was acting, Hikaru doubted he'd mind too much.

"You might have a point, but maybe if we go too crazy they'll try for more than our toes. I like being in one piece, so I'm going to try and get more of an idea what's going on before I start knocking down any walls."

Not that his noodle arms looked like they could do that anyway.

Kaoru Naito

"Grrgh… This shit's creepy as fuck! Can't the motherfuckers just peek-a-boo their asses out here yet?"

Thinking about their situation, Kaoru lets the pan hang limply in one hand while fishing up a strap of the belt to idly chew on, moving his hand to another to tug at another one. He hates being all tied up.

"Sounds like your plan's just perch somewhere and sit nice 'n pretty till someone else fucks something up, yeah? That it?"

Hikaru Suzuki

Hikaru's eyebrows slowly raised as he watched Kaoru attempt to… eat his way out of his restraints? He supposed that the other man had a more complicated set of straps than he'd been dressed in, but he didn't think it was that bad.

"The material is probably stronger than your teeth, I'm afraid. Not that I can stop you trying, just…" Just that Hikaru didn't want to be around for any mouth injuries sustained by Kaoru's efforts.

"Yeah, that's about it! I'm much better at sitting pretty than I am at rocking the boat. Not too much a guy like me can do in a place like this."

Kaoru Naito

“The peeerfect type a’ guy to flip over, right? Hey, c’mere.”

He says this and approaches Hikaru, twirling the pan around once in his hand as he starts to step up to him.

Hikaru Suzuki

"Ehehe, I did say that, didn't I?"

Hikaru was struck with the sudden worry that maybe it really had been a threat and flirting hadn't been the correct response. But as he always thought - if he flirted his way into a mess surely he can flirt his way out of it. So instead of looking nervous he just raised his eyebrows and took a step forward.

"Sure. What's up?"

Kaoru Naito

“Uh huh pretty boy, let’s lay you out first.”

He says as he closes the distance with a few long strides before simply swinging the frying pan at his head. As one does.

Hikaru Suzuki

Ohh this really wasn't a flirting situation was it. Hikaru jumps back, bringing his hands up to protect his face. He's too pretty to be hit!

"Oh my god don't hit me?!" he exclaims, though it kind of merges into one yelp as Kaoru steps up and swings.

Kaoru Naito

The pan stops just sort of Hikaru's head, sending an alarming rush of air over his face punctuated by Kaoru rolling his r's in a "br-r-r-rat!" sound effect.

"Gehehahaha! You’re cute with your hair all stood up, fraidy-cat!"

He turns his wrist to tap the side of his head with the pan in a tiny bonk.

"Doink! No good tryin' to act all cool if you're gonna bitch out so fast, looks like you're gonna need a better plan, gehahah!"

Hikaru Suzuki

Hikaru still winces at the tap of the frying pan, but it soon turns into a pout as he realises that he's not in imminent danger.

"Are you kidding? I thought you were going to knock me out with that thing! Sorry for getting freaked out like a human being, I guess."

Is his hair stood up? He finds himself tugging at a strand of it to try and regain some composure.

"Maybe I just like to go into a conversation expecting not to be assaulted. I was being nice." And to think, he'd always considered himself a pessimist - clearly not enough of one!

Kaoru Naito

He gestures vaguely at himself, as if to say, are you stupid? Do I look like a guy you shouldn’t expect to assault you? He lets his arm holding the pan fall back and lifts up his other hand to tussle Hikaru’s hair when he messes with it.

“Yer in jail, not at the country club! I’m being helpful, I’m bringing ya back to reality—you’re lucky you’re actually cute or I mighta just got yer ass for sounding like a future fuckin’ narc, gehahah!”

Hikaru Suzuki

Okay, okay, this guy clearly just wants to mess with him - it's not like Hikaru's hard to mess with, but he'll at least try to make it a little fun on his end, too.

"Look, some of my best friends are heavily tattooed criminals with bright hair. I don't like to stereotype."

At least he can play up being cute, Hikaru thinks as he pulls a face at his hair being ruffled.

"Come on, I'm no narc. Do I really look that stuck up to you? Nah, I can keep a secret. Especially one where I look like the idiot in the story." Which he kinda does, here.

Kaoru Naito

“You look a little that type, sayin’ yer just gonna sit by and do whatever’s easiest, geheheh. And hey, who says I’m a criminal? Now it sounds like you’re stereotypin’! Or projectin’ maybe… I’m just an innocent aspirin’ chef who got roped into this nonsense.”

Hikaru Suzuki

"A chef, uh huh. Who knows what crimes you cooked up to get locked up here with me, an infamous criminal mastermind. Or small-time train fare dodger. One of the two."

Hikaru does not seem smart enough to be a criminal mastermind, given that he was about to let himself get hit by a frying pan.

He sighs, a little despondently. "Are my tattoos not enough to give me a little edge…? Maybe I should get some like yours."

Kaoru Naito

"I'd be more impressed by the train dodgin', sounds like it takes more finesse, gehahah!"

He loves to never take anything how it's meant to be taken. It's like talking to a genie with this fucker. At the mention of tattoos, though, he stops and stares at Hikari, then walks up to him again (not raising the frying pan this time, but still holding it unfortunately) while looking him up and down.

"… Ohh, what, those lil stars on your tit? Damn, I thought that was part of your slutty little shirt's design from over there, I do owe you some cred."
