This might as well happen.
Like before, Emily was content to stand to the side and observe rather than interjecting. She didn’t tend to speak up loud enough to overcome a group—certainly not this unruly of one. Not that they were particularly unruly before hands were being thrown—or not thrown??—but she sure knew who to avoid. If avoiding was possible in such a restricted space.
There would always be more questions than answers, but at least a few of the latter finally came. As for the rest… Mm. She’d figure something out if no one added her to their kill list first.
Not that she had one herself. And if the murderer thing was hogwash in her case, it could easily be for others.
Probably… not all of them, though.
She sighed.
